This policy explains what happens to information when you use Fence Calculator at https://fencecalculator.xyz. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses or other personal details directly, except where you choose to send them through the contact form described below. There is no login, no profile and no user database.
What you enter on the site
Every fence length, height, material choice and price you type into the calculator is processed entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter into the calculator is transmitted to us or to any third party, and we have no way to see it. If you copy the share link, the values it contains only leave your device if you choose to send that link to someone yourself.
Browser storage
The site stores two small values in your browser's local storage: your theme preference (light, dark or system) and your answer to the cookie notice. Both are first party, both stay on your device, and neither identifies you. Clearing your browser storage removes them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful and where the site falls short. It processes technical and usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. IP anonymisation is enabled, and analytics storage stays disabled until you accept the cookie notice.

Behavior analytics and session insights (Microsoft Clarity)
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products and services. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud and security purposes, and advertising.

Hosting and security
The site is served through Cloudflare. As part of delivering and protecting the site, Cloudflare processes technical request information such as IP address, browser and device information, and request timing. This happens for every visit and is a normal part of how the site reaches you safely.

We do not operate a database of visitors, so there is nothing on our side to retain. Information held by the third parties named above is retained according to their own policies.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, get in touch and we will delete the message.
